STEP ONE: LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT
Login to your Facebook account. you can click here! to login
STEP TWO: GETTING TO SETTINGS PAGE
After login click on the inverted triangle at the top right corner of the window, select Settings & Privacy then select Settings OR on the bottom left corner click settings.
STEP 3: ON THE SETTINGS PAGE
On the Settings page click on SECURITY and LOGIN the select use TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION.
STEP FOUR: SELECT AUTHENTICATION OPTION FOR YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT
On the Two-Factor Authentication Page, you will be prompted to select one of two options.
- AUTHENTICATION APP: this is very secured and recommended by Facebook but before selecting this option also note that these apps will have to run on your mobile devices and i a case of a damaged, stolen or Factory reset of device, the Authentication app will be lost and you won’t be able to authenticate access to your account again.
- TEXT MESSAGE (SMS): This is my preferred option because if the former happens you will always have access to your mobile number and will always be able to grant access to your Facebook account.

STEP 5: FINALIZING AUTHENTICATION SET UP
After selecting SMS you will be requested to select or add a mobile number. Once done, an authentication code will be sent to the provided number. Following this, you will be required to confirm your Facebook account by entering your Facebook password. Then lastly, Click DONE!
Congratulations! your account is secured.
